My nose is cold

A very naff title for a post I know, but I'm feeling pretty frosticated (one of my dyslexic concoctions) at this moment in time. The trouble with the summer in Minnesota is that it's quite hot and I got acclimatised, but now the temperature has dropped drastically with the Autumn (or aptly named 'fall', leaves are becoming suicidal re: Monty Python). I'm just not acclimatising back again and there's still the occassional warm day that messes me up. Today however I'm sitting with my friend Anastasia's 'Albanian Grandmother made' wool booties on, a wool jumper with a fleece over that. My nose is cold.....

Anyway enough moaning. We are currently in St. Paul again house-sitting. Unfortunately we never got to see the Carleton Artists Lofts last week (Tucker's last entry) because we couldn't get to any of the available appointment times, we are booked in tomorrow though so we'll let you know what we think soon.
I'm still working at the Mall of America although I'd like to find something closer and a little more relevant. I'm not really relishing working for a big corporation, but lets not bite the hand that feeds right at the moment.

I'm pretty crazed at the moment, working five days a week, trying to get my work ready for the show, not to mention moving my studio to St. Paul (it took Tucker two car loads). I'll be ready in time I'm just a little stressed (I'd be worried if I wasn't).

Also in the 'Two-Artists' news.
We're taking a wee sabbatical from Motif Radio. Please go to the Motif Radio site for details. We'll be back to broadcasting in early February (our 1 year aniversary is on the 22nd of February don't miss it).

Speaking of anniveraries, Tucker and I have been married for almost a year...What is that 'paper'! Heck I should make a drawing on some 'paper' that day and then we can keep it to remember the day. Needless to say Tucker and I are as happy together now as we were nearly three years ago when we first started dating. Wow three years!

Tucker also sold a photograph in the $99 sale to raise money for the Soap Factory. I had a piece in it too, but I don't know if it sold or not yet (his sold very early on, it was an excellent image taken on the 4th of July). Mine was a computer rendered drawing made in Photoshop, I'll put a up a picture of it at some point soon.

Other than being stressed I'm really looking forward to my exhibtion at the Soap Factory it's going to be a blast. Then when I've done my performance I can a) get rather drunk and b) get the cold that I've been fighting off for two months (this is a ritual, I always get ill after a show).

I have had a little time to chill out though I went out to Karaoke with my mate Andy. Totally awesome singing 'Nothing Compares 2U' Sinead O'Connor (written by Prince) the crowd went wild; Prince is from Minneapolis, so is Dylan.

Well I'm going to stop blabbing now......

Much love to you all,

Fi
